Lux is being fostered in Ohio
date of birth is Jan 20 xxxx weight 15 lbs
Lux is still healing from a broken leg. His previous home didn't want him anymore and turned him over to rescue with his injuries untreated. He's going on his 5th week with a splint and bandages and has had a couple of infections due to wounds under his splints. These are healing up very nicely. We will re-evaluate his leg in about 2 weeks to see if he'll need surgery.
Lux is not yet a year old and is going to be very energetic once his leg is healed. We're looking for a dedicated home for him who will work him on house training and learning how to walk on lead. Lux is very sweet, quiet but didn't have the best start in his young years. He's not shy, but very sweet and friendly. Lux loves to sleep in bed with his foster mom and dad and gets along great with the other dogs here. He has no interest in cats other then an occasional sniff.
He will need to go to a home where his new family does not work the typical work day and also have another little dog for a companion. If you work a full time job, please do not apply. Lux is a young dog and will require somebody to be his best friend and not keep him in a crate for long hours or left alone for extended periods of time. He is still a puppy. Although he doesn't do the typical puppy chewing, he does enjoy raw marrow bones for entertainment. Lux is on a raw diet which has made a big difference in the cleanliness of his teeth, breath and the quality of his skin.
